An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Planning, Innovation & Programmes (PIP) Directorate as aProject Support Officer (Band 5).This is a key role supporting the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and projects aligned to NHS Grampian’s strategic priorities, including service redesign, improvement initiatives, and transformation programmes across acute and community services.Working as part of a dynamic and supportive team, you will provide high-quality project and programme support to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with governance requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Support Officer, you will:Provide day-to-day project support across a range of programmes and workstreamsSupport the development and maintenance of key project documentation (e.g. plans, risk logs, action trackers, highlight reports)Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activitiesPrepare clear and concise reports and updates for senior stakeholders and governance groupsSupport programme governance processes, including reporting cycles and assurance requirementsTrack progress against milestones and support the identification and management of risks and issuesWork closely with clinical, operational, and corporate colleagues across the organisationAbout YouWe are looking for a motivated and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop a career in project and programme management.You Will BringExperience of supporting projects or programmes, ideally within a healthcare or public sector settingStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfidence working with data, documents, and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)A proactive and collaborative approach to working with a wide range of stakeholdersWhat We OfferA varied and rewarding role contributing directly to service improvement and patient careOpportunities for professional development within programme and project managementA supportive team environment within a high-profile DirectorateFlexible and hybrid working arrangements where appropriateInterviews are schedlued for Wednesday the 17th June 2026For Further Information Or An Informal Discussion, Please ContactChristina Cameron, Programme Leadchristina.cameron@nhs.scotNHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
