Licensed Veterinary Technician
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications and vaccines under supervision
- Take radiographs
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records
Skills
- Proficiency in animal husbandry and handling
- Knowledge of dental terminology and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures
- Understanding of animal physiology and care
Qualifications
- State of Michigan Licensure and Certifications
