Part Time Doctor of Optometry Position
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosing eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. We utilize Crystal EMR and have an amazing staff and optos retinal imaging to help support you. Patient care in 10:00 am-6:00 with an 30 minute lunch and the last scheduled appointment at 5:15pm. Compensation is $600/day for Saturday coverage with an average of 10-15 patients/day.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess visual acuity.
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions.
Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed.
Educate patients on proper eye care and the use of corrective lenses.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with medical coding standards.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
Requirements
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state license to practice optometry.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, optical principles, ophthalmology, and medical terminology.
Experience or familiarity with pediatrics is a plus.
Proficient in medical coding practices related to optometry services.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and sales abilities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
