About the RoleL3Harris is seeking a **Scientist, Systems Engineering** to lead multiple advanced radar and product development efforts.This role is responsible for **systems engineering, radar architecture, requirements development and management, system integration, verification and validation, performance characterization, technical trade studies, and engineering test activities**.The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert in radar systems engineering while collaborating with hardware, software, algorithms, programmable logic, supply chain, operations, contracts, and program management teams.## 3. Key Responsibilities* Architect radar system hardware and software functional and physical designs and requirements.* Serve as a subject matter expert in **radar systems engineering**.* Lead radar systems development and advanced technology design activities.* Conduct analytical and experimental trade studies of radar system architectures.* Lead radar system design, development, integration, and test activities.* Support integrated project teams and multidisciplinary engineering organizations.* Develop and champion new systems, concepts, and technologies.* Lead hardware and software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation.* Support technical and cost proposal and capture activities.* Lead design verification testing across laboratory, chamber, ground, and flight environments.* Develop and execute simulations and analytical tools to predict system performance.* Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations during program execution.* Develop, track, and present technical performance metrics.* Perform dynamic risk assessments with program managers and develop mitigation strategies.* Serve as the lead technical interface for customers.* Present technical results during internal and external program reviews.* Mentor and motivate systems engineers and engineering program teams.* Collaborate with business development teams on customer engagement, technical proposals, and acquisition requirements.* Support complex system integration and performance characterization activities.## 4. Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree with **12+ years of relevant engineering experience**, or a graduate degree with **10+ years of relevant engineering experience**.* In lieu of a degree, **16+ years of relevant engineering experience**.* **Active U.S. Secret security clearance**.* Extensive professional experience in **radar systems engineering and radar system development**.* Experience with system-level hardware and software design.* Strong understanding of systems engineering processes, requirements management, integration, verification, and validation.* Ability to conduct technical analysis, engineering trade studies, and system performance evaluations.* Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.* Experience using Microsoft Office products.* Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering and business organizations.* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.* Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.## 5. Preferred Qualifications* Hands-on experience integrating and testing complex **radar and weapon systems**.* Experience with complete radar system development lifecycles, from conceptual design through production.* Experience designing and integrating complex hardware/software systems and defining multiple system interfaces.* Aerospace systems engineering experience.* Experience developing, integrating, and testing sensors and payloads for autonomous systems.* Active **Top Secret security clearance**.* Experience with **MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C, C++, or C#**.* Experience developing advanced radar sensor systems for autonomous weapon systems.* Experience supporting proposal capture, customer engagement, needs assessments, and acquisition requirements.* Experience developing use cases from customer objectives and concepts of operations.* Strong leadership and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic engineering teams.* Experience with customer-facing technical leadership and program execution.## 6.
