Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Overnight Security Guard to oversee the safety and security of our garage facilities during nighttime hours. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, access control, and incident management. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and prepared to respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel, property, and assets throughout the overnight shift. Responsibilities Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches using CCTV technology. Conduct regular patrols of the garage premises, including parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters, utilizing manual handling techniques when necessary. Control access to the garage by performing background checks on visitors, verifying credentials, and operating access control systems efficiently. Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical emergencies such as first aid or CPR. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and further investigation. Manage conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques when dealing with unruly individuals or disputes within the premises. Perform physical security duties such as heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies and ensure compliance with all security regulations and safety standards. Qualifications Valid Drivers License Active PERC Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with Taser and firearm handling is preferred. Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, incident report writing, and surveillance techniques. Strong understanding of emergency response procedures and conflict management skills. Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
