Known for strong field execution and technical expertise, they support complex AV deployments while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and client satisfaction.Position OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced AV Lead Technician to lead on-site installation teams and subcontractors on commercial AV projects. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, ensuring installations are completed according to design specifications, industry standards, project schedules, and budget requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support on-site AV installation teams and subcontractorsCoordinate staffing needs and ensure crews have the proper tools and resourcesWork closely with the AV Project Manager to request materials, track deliveries, and manage on-site logisticsRecord equipment serial numbers and manage on-site material inventoryTrack labor hours and material usage throughout the project lifecycleMaintain daily job journals, inventory logs, and field documentation to keep projects on schedulePerform daily on-site inspections to ensure work quality and complianceProvide technical support and guidance to field personnelIdentify and communicate scope changes, equipment issues, or material failures to the AV Project Manager and design teamAssist with field documentation, including as-built drawings, cable certification reports, and warrantiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with subcontractorsStay current with emerging AV technologies and best practicesPerform other related duties as assignedRequirementsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred3+ years of experience in commercial audio-visual installationStrong working knowledge of commercial AV systems and infrastructureAbility to read and interpret scopes of work, blueprints, and line drawingsExperience creating and configuring DSP files (QSC, Biamp preferred)Experience loading, testing, and troubleshooting control systems and touch panels (Crestron, Extron)OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to lead teams and drive results in the fieldAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demandsComfortable training and mentoring techniciansStrong customer-facing and teamwork skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordPhysical & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift and/or move up to 10 poundsAbility to perform close-vision workWork is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including active construction and customer sites
