Indirect Buyer (Martin)

Due to internal growth, we're adding a talented Indirect Buyer to our regional Procurement them. This person will be based in either Charlotte, NC, or Martin, SC.Duties:Support the management of the indirect spend category for North AmericaExecute the purchasing strategy:Support the execution of overall category strategy and drive results in line with local and global procurement strategyTake ownership of purchasing materials and servicesCreate purchase ordersFollow-up with suppliersAchieve results using tools such as competitive bidding, negotiation, market analysis, and benchmarkingFollow internal procedures for spend approvalManage supplier relationships:Deploy a SRM strategyMaintain master dataFollow-up on supplier related issues based on service levels, PO activities, or projectsCollaborate and follow-up with internal stakeholders to achieve administrative efficiency and good service levelCoordinate CAPEX activities with the sites and other stakeholdersOther duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or relatedBBA or MBA is a plusAt least 7 years' experience with indirect procurement in a variety of categoriesProven history of contract management and category expertiseExperience with SAP MM, Microsoft Office, Access and OneNoteStrong analytical problem-solving skillsExperience in continuous improvement or lean six sigma a plusSense of ownership and personal accountabilityAble and willing to operate both strategically and tacticallyEffective verbal and written communication skillsA results orientation is necessary
