SQL Database Administrator

Duration: 3+ MonthsOur client, a large professional services firm located in Scottsdale, AZ, is looking to hire 3 experienced L3/L4 SQL DBAs for a 3-month hybrid contract role. The consultants will be expected to work onsite 3 days per week in the Scottsdale office. The consultant will handle day-to-day SQL management and maintenance duties. The ideal candidates will ensure database stability, optimal performance, and robust administration across both on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day MS SQL Server general administration and maintenance tasks. Perform database tuning and proactive troubleshooting to optimize performance. Oversee and support Always On Availability Groups (AOAG) configurations. Administer databases within Azure Managed Instance and IaaS SQL infrastructure.

Required Skills: Deep expertise in MS SQL Server administration (current and supported versions).Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing Transact-SQL (T-SQL).Hands-on experience with AOAG, Azure Managed Instance, and IaaS SQL administration. Proven track record in complex database tuning and troubleshooting.

Desired Skills: Knowledge of PostgreSQL or CosmosDB.Familiarity with Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
