Sr. Backend Engineer/Microservices Lead

Job Title: Senior Backend / Microservices Lead (E-commerce)Location: Onsite Springfield, MissouriExperience: 7–12 YearsJob Description:We are looking for a Senior Backend / Microservices Lead with strong experience inbuilding scalable e-commerce platforms using modern Java-based microservices architecture.The role requires hands-on expertise in designing and developing backend services, integratingdistributed systems, and working with cloud-native technologies on Microsoft Azure. The idealcandidate will have strong experience in open-source technologies and will play a key role inbuilding high-performance, reliable backend systems that support large-scale e-commerceoperations.Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based backend systems for e-commerce platforms.• Build RESTful APIs and backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservicesarchitecture.• Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka for high-throughput data processing.• Work with distributed caching technologies such as Redis to improve systemperformance.• Design and manage databases including MongoDB and PostgreSQL.• Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure cloud platform.• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.• Work with the customer onsite and guide the offshore team as a lead• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability in a high-traffic e-commerceenvironment.• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring of juniorengineers.• Follow best practices in CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native development.Required Skills:• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.• Proven experience building microservices and REST APIs.• Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems.• Strong knowledge of Redis caching mechanisms.• Experience working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.• Experience in e-commerce platform development is highly preferred.Preferred Skills:• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes.• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.• Exposure to high-traffic retail or e-commerce environments• Experience in client communication and leading a team
