Sales Account Manager
Salary: $80K-$90K Base + Sales Commission Structure + $600/month Vehicle Allowance + expensesPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Account Manager to support and grow business within the automotive manufacturing and supplier industry. This individual will serve as the primary commercial contact for customers while driving new business development, supporting quality initiatives, and expanding existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive customers, along with an understanding of warehousing, sequencing, logistics, or supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a comprehensive knowledge of the company profiles, capabilities, products, business plans, and strategiesOperate as the lead point of contact for all sales activities and commercial interface issues with customersBuild and maintain strong customer relationshipsGenerate new sales and business opportunities through existing and prospective customer accountsIdentify new applications and opportunities for current and future customersSupport new customer launches, account setup, and ongoing account managementCustomer & Quality SupportAccompany Engineering and Quality personnel to internal and customer meetings to address commercial and operational issuesConduct facility visits at customer office and manufacturing locationsInterface with customer quality representatives regarding quality concerns and corrective actionsProvide on-site support, diagnostics, and professional representation for customer quality issuesCommunicate containment actions, clean points, and supporting documentation to customer teamsAssist in negotiations and closure of identified quality concernsAttend customer meetings to ensure compliance with customer requirements and review quality-related issuesYear 2: $1.2 Million Gross SalesYear 3: $2.1 Million Gross Sales"New Sales" generated solely by the Sales Account Manager. New Sales are based on Gross Sales less any bad debt or chargebacks. A "New Sale" is defined as a new customer or service that has not been invoiced within the previous rolling 12 months.Preferred QualificationsAutomotive industry experience preferredExperience supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive customers is a plusBackground in sales, account management, customer support, quality, logistics, or manufacturing environmentsUnderstanding of warehousing, sequencing, logistics, or supply chain operations preferredStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable conducting customer site visits and supporting plant-level activitiesStrong problem-solving and organizational abilitiesAbility to travel locally to customer facilities as neededJ-18808-Ljbffr
