Category Manager

Job DescriptionThe Category Manager role is responsible for researching and developing category and shopper insights to deliver a competitive advantage to TERREPOWER and our customers across all product categories. As part of this role, this individual will lead customer line reviews and collaborate with category leadership, product management, cataloguing, marketing, and customer teams to develop strategies that drive growth for TERREPOWER and our customers. This individual must be able to collect data every week, analyze it, and convert it into meaningful information. In addition to collecting and analyzing data, this person would be responsible for providing accurate and reliable reports to TERREPOWER leadership and customers. As well as having excellent communication skills, this individual must be able to present insights to employees and customers in a clear and concise mannerResponsibilitiesResponsible for weekly data collection and market analysis.Provide accurate & reliable market insights to TERREPOWER leadership and customers.Lead customer line review efforts across all categories – Analysis and presentation.Provide inventory health assessments and coverage opportunities for customers.Develop and present category reviews to leadership and customers.Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and consumer behavioral changes.Interpret and analyze data for opportunities to progress company growth within the market.Lead cross departmental collaboration between product management, cataloguing, marketing, and customer teams for best-in-class product placement.Research new data sources, data applications and reporting mechanisms to enhance departmental performance.Identify streamlining opportunities in our current weekly reporting.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or 5-8 years of relative industry experience. At least 3 years of Automotive Aftermarket experience. Preferably 2 years of experience as a business or category analyst. Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Access). Skilled in Oracle BI tools and solutions. Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Must have familiarity with automotive and aftermarket industry sources and partners. Customer line review experience, as well as Inventory optimization experience Knowledge of market research companies and solution providers in the Automotive Aftermarket space. Must be a team player and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
