Job Opportunity: Pediatric Interventional RadiologistIn response to our ongoing growth and our commitment to the well-being of our faculty, we are seeking a full-time pediatric interventional radiologist to join our team.About the SectionOur Pediatric Interventional Radiology Section conducts over 7,500 image-guided procedures annually and is currently comprised of four dedicated pediatric interventional radiologists. Our team is supported by five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and a Care Navigator, ensuring comprehensive care for both inpatient and outpatient services.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a wide range of interventions, including but not limited to:Vascular accessTreatment of vascular malformationsHepatobiliary proceduresEnteral proceduresMusculoskeletal proceduresAngiographyEmbolizationDVT/PE lysisCollaborate with a dedicated pediatric neurointerventional radiologist.Engage in teaching and sharing clinical excellence with both internal and external audiences.Participate in various multispecialty programs, including a vascular anomalies clinic.Facilities and SupportOur interventional radiology department is equipped with:Two Philips DSA rooms (one featuring biplane technology)Dedicated ultrasound in each procedure roomAn IR-only pre-procedure areaA consult roomWe benefit from the expertise of specialized pediatric anesthesiologists who provide anesthesia services, fostering a strong collaborative environment among IR nurses, technologists, and physicians.Division OverviewThe Radiology Division consists of 31 full-time radiologists, each specializing in Body, Neuro, and Interventional Radiology. Faculty members have the opportunity to hold appointments at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Phoenix), Mayo Clinic, and Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix). Our active teaching and research program includes:Three ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship positionsTwo additional non-accredited fellow positions (Neuro and Pediatric Interventional Radiology)Involvement of fellows, residents, and medical students from affiliated radiology programsAbout UsOur main campus is a standalone 533-bed Level 1 children's hospital, recognized as the largest pediatric facility in the Southwestern United States.QualificationsCompletion of an ACGME-accredited diagnostic or interventional radiology residency.Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology or Adult Interventional Radiology fellowship (if a diagnostic radiology residency has been completed).Completion of a Pediatric Interventional Radiology fellowship is preferred but negotiable; the last hire completed an ACGME IR/DR residency without a supplemental fellowship.We are an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
