You should be very technically astute in mechanical, electrical, and computer operated systems utilized in production/manufacturing environments. You need to be proactive, quick thinking and innovative in your approach.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of equipment and plant materials for extractionExecution of extraction and processing in accordance with state and local standardOperation of sophisticated extraction equipmentEnsure consistency and efficiency of product through quality control testing and proceduresCleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and manufacturing facilityMaintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals, and equipment used in the facilityOversee day-to-day operations of the entire extraction space beginning with storing the raw cannabis through the extraction process and all the way to fulfillment of ordersOperating, maintaining, and making adjustments and repairs to extraction equipmentStoring supplies and equipment and disposal of waste according to guidelinesComplete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and toolsMaintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment and preparing requisitions as neededMaintaining material safety data sheets for all chemicals and productsFollowing all standard operating procedures regarding product creation and lab safetyAssist in packaging and labeling of finished productsWorks with testing laboratory as defined by state guidelinesAll other duties as assignedEducation And Experience RequirementsUnderstanding of state and local lawsUnderstanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materialsFamiliarity with separations, isolations and fractionationKnowledge of solvent and non-solvent extraction methodsStay current of practices and new developments in the cannabis extraction industryAbility to work quickly without compromising accuracyAbility to discern the quality of plant material and finished productsStrong computer and social skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screeningCompetencies RequiredMust be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistanceMust be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasksMust be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details.
