This role ensures that evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practices and educational strategies are implemented consistently to support student learning, social development, and behavioral growth.The Program Coordinator supervises behavioral and educational staff, monitors student progress, and collaborates with teachers, therapists, and families to maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.This position is ideal for a former teacher who has obtained BCBA certification and is interested in leading a clinical educational program for students with autism.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram OversightCoordinate the daily operations of the autism school-based program.Ensure classrooms implement structured academic and behavioral programming.Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic learning environment for students.Support consistent implementation of school policies and procedures.Behavioral Program ManagementOversee the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs.Conduct or assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA).Develop and oversee Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).Monitor student behavioral progress and adjust strategies when necessary.Ensure accurate data collection and behavioral documentation.Staff SupervisionSupervise and support Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), teachers, and support staff.Provide BCBA supervision hours to RBT staff when applicable.Conduct staff observations and provide coaching on behavior management strategies.Ensure consistent implementation of behavioral and academic plans.Educational SupportCollaborate with teachers to ensure individualized instruction for students with autism.Support development and implementation of student learning plans.Assist with classroom management strategies and instructional supports.Ensure behavioral interventions support academic progress.Family CommunicationServe as a point of contact for families regarding student progress.Conduct parent meetings and conferences when necessary.Provide guidance to parents on behavior strategies that can support students at home.Staff Training and Professional DevelopmentProvide training to staff on:Autism support strategiesApplied Behavior AnalysisPositive behavior support systemsDe-escalation techniquesSupport ongoing professional development for teachers and RBTs.Data Monitoring & ComplianceEnsure proper documentation of behavioral and educational services.Monitor student progress and program outcomes.Maintain compliance with BACB ethical guidelines and ABA best practices.Program DevelopmentAssist leadership in expanding and improving autism services.Support recruitment and onboarding of new behavioral staff.Help implement new program initiatives to improve student outcomes.QualificationsBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification requiredMasters degree in ABA, Education, Psychology, or related fieldPrevious teaching experience strongly preferredExperience working with children with autism or developmental disabilitiesExperience supervising RBTs or behavioral staff preferredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
