Lead Process EngineerFull Time ExemptGreater Wilkes/Barre/Scranton area or Hybrid OptionJob Summary:Our engineering services client is currently seeking Lead Process Engineer This role supports projects based out of our clients customers manufacturing facility office. This resource will be required to be onsite one to two days per week. Our client is also willing to consider candidates from outside of the immediate area of the customer site and will cover accommodations for required onsite days,Primary Responsibilities:Lead and support the process mechanical design effort on projectsHold team members accountable to quality work productPerform QAQC of engineering and design deliverablesSupport business development and proposal activities which will include concepts, deliverables, effort hours, and estimated costInterface with clients and vendors on a regular basisWork in a manufacturing environment to gather field data and conduct field investigations when required for project workGenerate equipment specifications and construction documents/packagesWork as part of a collaborative project team with contractors and clientReview vendor submittals, lead design reviews, both internally and with vendor/clientTravel as required to client sites and vendors for work (up to 25%)Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent technical experience10+ years of process engineering experienceDemonstrated experience leading and managing teams of engineers, designers, contractors, construction managers, vendors, and OEM'sRequired previous experience with the following:P&ID'sPreparation of installation, bid, and construction packagesProcess and utility system piping designPaper making technology (towel and tissue)Cost estimating (labor hours and capital cost estimates)Construction support and commissioning experiencePreferred Qualifications:15+ years of industry-relevant experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 24 months of your start datePreferred experience with the following:Paper making process operating knowledge (pulping through converting)Familiarity with 3D project executionIndustrial HVAC - specifically room air balancingPipe stress analysisThru air drying (TAD) or other advanced papermaking technologiesFamiliarity with PHA's (Process Hazard Analysis)Yankee drying systems including steam and condensateTrim and broke handlingDust control and collection Process airChemical additive and material handling system designGPA prides itself on providing quality, personalized services to its clients and candidates.
