Comptroller

**Job Title:** Comptroller**Job Summary:**The Comptroller will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with applicable regulations, and effective budget management. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, leadership experience, and an analytical mindset to drive fiscal responsibility and strategic financial planning.**Key Responsibilities:**- Manage the organization’s financial systems, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting.- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other relevant regulations.- Develop and monitor the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.- Lead internal audits to identify financial risks and ensure the integrity of internal controls.- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and regulatory bodies.- Oversee tax preparation and filings in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.- Monitor cash flow and manage treasury functions, including investment management and debt service.- Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and align financial planning with operational needs.- Provide financial forecasts, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to support business growth and sustainability.- Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring strong performance and adherence to financial policies.**Qualifications:**- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.- Proven experience with financial systems and accounting software.- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Experience in service or legal industry financial management.- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).- Experience managing multi-departmental budgets and complex financial operations.**Location:** Mt.
