Scrum Master Remote ContractOverview:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join Brooksource's Fortune 15 client to lead and support up to five agile squads working across multiple time zones in the development of a custom-built Java application. This role is part of a large, complex program and requires strong facilitation, coordination, and servant leadership skills to ensure agile best practices are followed and delivery goals are met.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) across distributed teams.Act as a servant leader and coach to the squads, promoting Agile principles and continuous improvement.Remove impediments and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and transparency.Coordinate across squads to manage dependencies, align sprint goals, and ensure consistent delivery.Partner with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Program Managers to ensure backlog health and sprint readiness.Track and report team metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) to stakeholders and leadership.Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into team performance, sprint progress, and program-level KPIsEnsure timely and accurate reporting of sprint outcomes, impediments, and delivery risks across squads.Support cross-functional communication and alignment across time zones and cultures.Champion Agile maturity and drive adoption of best practices across the program.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in large-scale Agile environmentsProven experience managing multiple squads simultaneously, preferably in a global delivery model.Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and Agile metrics.Experience working with custom Java applications and familiarity with software development lifecycle.Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence or equivalent.Hands-on experience building and managing dashboards in JIRA or equivalentAbility to analyze and present data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II) or SAFe certification, highly preferredStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).Preferred Skills:Experience in large enterprise programs with complex interdependencies.Ability to influence without authority and drive change in a matrixed organization.Brooksource is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, protected medical condition as defined by applicable state or local law, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.Benefits & Perks:Brooksource offers competitive medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care FSA, and supplemental coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
