Medical Assistant
Knowledge and Abilities:
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs, Medical Platforms or Medical Insurance.
Knowledge of procedures and regulations of the medical industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Customer service oriented.
Experience:
Previous experience in a clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting is preferred.
Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar position.
Previous experience in medical offices and medical billing.
Previous experience making examinations, procedures and treatments.
Previous experience performing routine medical tasks.
Responsibilities
Place patients in the room and perform and record vital signs.
Obtains the patient’s reason for the visit and history information.
Document care within the Nursing Services and standards.
Completes tasks related to patient visit as necessary such as documentation required.
Ensure stocking and verifying exam room is completed prior to each visit and clean up after each visit.
Prepare and sterilize medical instruments.
Assist the doctor during the exams and procedures.
