*Description: 1st shift *CNC Programmer for a leading manufacturer of rubber products.
*Key Duties/Responsibilities:*
* Program CNC Vertical Milling centers for high-speed milling operations using Mastercam.
* Perform high precision machining of molds and fixtures
* Revisions of existing tools as determined by Engineering
* Work as a team member and follow established procedures in a new, well-equipped, fast paced tool room
* Effective communication with others
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet productivity expectations and deadlines
* Attentive to scheduling priorities as they relate to programming
* Complete Programming Checklists
*Qualifications:*
* 2 years of programming experience or equivalent.
* 2D and 3D programming experience
* Mastercam experience
* Ability to work with very tight tolerances
* Mold building experience
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to ensure precise and efficient production of complex components. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in CNC programming, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and machining processes. This position plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and productivity within our manufacturing operations.
*Duties*
* Develop and write CNC programs for various machines, including CNC lathes, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC machines, utilizing CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD.
* Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications.
* Set up CNC tooling and machining tools, ensuring proper alignment and calibration using precision measurement instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines.
* Optimize machining processes by applying lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Perform toolpath verification and simulation to prevent errors before actual machining.
* Conduct precision measurements during manufacturing using measurement instruments like dial indicators and measurement gauges to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.
* Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling, or programming errors; adjust programs accordingly.
* Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD design modifications and provide feedback for manufacturability improvements.
* Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process parameters for quality control and repeatability.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
*Would like to see:*
* Proven experience in CNC programming for various machine types including CNC lathe, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC equipment.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA; CAM software experience is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programming language.
* Familiarity with blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
* Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
* Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
* Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to enhance process efficiency.
* Ability to perform precise measurements using measurement tools like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines.
* Knowledge of manufacturing best practices related to metal machining and tooling setup.

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
