GL Accountant

Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled GL Accountant (General Ledger Specialist) to join our team for an exciting contract role with one of our esteemed Fortune 500 clients, based in Fremont, CA. This is a onsite role.Position: GL AccountantLocation: Fremont, CA (OnsiteDuration: 6 - 12 Months ContractThis sounds like something you'd like to explore further, feel free to share your updated resume and we can set up a quick call.Responsibilities5+ years of GL Accountant experienceServe as a subject matter expert on US GAAP accounting standards and regulations, staying abreast of emerging trends and developments in the accounting profession.Manage accounting projects for the FAAS vertical, including assessment of accounting policies, technical accounting, and implementation of new accounting standards.Supervise all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Manage internal and external audits, ensuring thorough preparation and coordination.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Provide guidance and support to clients on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations and other areas.Serve as a subject matter expert on US GAAP accounting standards and regulations, staying abreast of emerging trends and developments in the accounting profession.Manage client relationships, including regular communication, project updates, and issue resolution to ensure client satisfaction and retention.Work with the FAAS Leader to track operational/financial metrics and overall business results of the FAAS vertical.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accounting solutions and strategies tailored to client needs and objectives.
