Description Position Title: QSR Clerk - Level IReports to: QSR ManagerPositions Supervised: NoneBROAD FUNCTIONS: To prepare food, obtain payment and provide exceptional customer serviceSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Greets customers and prepares their orders, uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and computes the amount of the bill, collects payment from the customer and make changePrepares food neatly, accurately and in a timely mannerDemonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains to customers accurately and in a cheerful and helpful mannerChecks products in prep area and restocks items to ensure sufficient supply throughout the shiftUnderstands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas or portion controls.Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food, serving food and clean up. Including checking dates and temperatures and logging the information.General housekeeping and cleaningMaintains professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the employee handbook and the standards of the franchisee(s).Performs light paperwork duties as assignedCONTACT WITH OTHERS - Internal:Will have contact with other QSR clerks and QSR Managers on a daily basisCONTACT WITH OTHERS - ExternalCUSTOMERSVendorsRequirements PrerequisitesEducation: Some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math. Ability to read, speak and understand EnglishExperience: Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructionAbility to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast-paced environmentAvailability: Must be able to work a varied schedule and on weekends and holidaysPhysical:Must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash registerPosition requires bending, standing, walking, and repetitive use of hands and arms the entire workdayMust have ability to lift 10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionallyPosition requires the ability to handle continuous exposure to food and cleaning chemicalsPosition requires the ability to handle exposure to extreme temperatures
