SYSTEMS DESIGN PROFESSIONAL
This position is a remote role that can work out of the Netherlands, Dublin, Ireland or the following States: AZ, CA, FL, ID, IN, MI, MT, NJ, NV, OR, SC, TX, UT, WA
Key Responsibilities
Design wireless systems using iBwave
Compile wireless system designs in CAD format
Develop complete construction drawing sets
Create, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM)
Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines, including Architects/Engineers (A/E) and General Contractors (GC)
Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), radio system owners, and wireless carriers
Provide remote and on-site support for DAS commissioning and troubleshooting as needed
Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from the construction team
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems, including:
LMR two-way radio systems
Public Safety DAS systems
Commercial DAS systems
2+ years of experience using iBwave
1+ year of experience using AutoCAD
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one of the following:
Commercial DAS system optimization
VHF/UHF simplex public safety DAS systems
MOTOTRBO systems
What We Expect You to Have
Strong understanding of RF communication theory
Thorough knowledge of applicable fire codes, building codes, electrical codes, and FCC regulations related to communication system design
In-depth knowledge of carrier KPIs
Familiarity with Navisworks
Strong self-motivation and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and clients
Excellent project management skills
Experience developing project budgets
Experience creating and maintaining project schedules
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Experience designing security systems (cameras and access control)
Experience designing Wi-Fi systems
EDX or Motorola design certifications
FCC GROL certification
NICET Design Certification
Multiple OEM product certifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering
Experience with Revit modeling
