Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work™Redaction Release SpecialistThe primary responsibility of the Redaction Release Specialist is to review documentation, process information, and redact material from the requested file that is requested to a specific background investigation, while meeting established guidelines. This position supports the Case Processing Operation Center (CPOC) within our Defense and Intel Operating Group.Key Role/ResponsibilitiesReview documents relating to background investigations to ensure information meets case requirementsRedact material from requested file as neededProvide material per agency requestProcess case materials and complete department functions under established production, quality, and timeliness standardsOther assignments/projects as needed to support department, contract, or business needs. Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent A minimum of two (2) years of government contracting in background investigations experience preferred.Computer/office literacy; familiarity with Microsoft Office or other compatible applications. Effectively communicate with team members both written and oral.Must be able to interpret procedure manuals, email correspondence and instructions. Must have the ability to manage and complete work assignments independently or with minimal supervision. Ability to type 40 words per minute.Must be able to work flexible schedule. Schedules are dependent on workload and will require availability outside of department core hours, which may include evening and weekends.Must be willing to work on-site as needed.Must consent to a government background investigation and receive eligibility at a Top Secret level of investigation. Contract requires US citizenship, due to nature of work performed. Must reside within 1 hours driving time of Boyers, PAWork will be performed on-site at Iron Mountain, Boyers, PA and remote. Work location will be determined based on job function/workload needs and leadership approval.Additional QualificationsExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communicationMust be able to work flexible schedule: ability to adjust to changing workload, case and contract guidelines to meet identified department goals. Reliability, dependability, and adherence to established schedule/shiftsExperience working in the Government services industry is preferredPhysical RequirementsPosition requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time. Work is performed using company furnished laptop or desktop.The work is performed remotely once training is completed. Training is conducted on-site for approximately 7 working days in Boyers, PA.
