This is a impact-driven internship where you will work directly with students, support program delivery, and help strengthen systems that prepare students for life after high school.This internship is part of the COATES Inc. Student Success Fellowship, a hands-on learning experience designed to prepare future education leaders. Interns will gain direct experience supporting college and career readiness programs while developing professional skills in advising, facilitation, and program implementation.This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, student success, and making a difference in underserved communities.Commitment:We seek individuals who are passionate about contributing to our mission and are committed to improving our administrative effectiveness.Start Date: Fall 2026Hours: 10 - 15 hours/week, including weekly planning meetings with your supervisorPay: $12.00/hourJoin us at Coates Inc. to gain valuable experience while making a meaningful impact in a supportive environment!ResponsibilitiesThis role requires in person and virtual supportFacilitate college and career planning sessions in schoolsProvide 1:1 or small group student advisingTrack student engagement and outcomesCollaborate with school staff and familiesAssist with event planning and community visitsDraft and prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations.Coordinate scheduling for meetings and events, including logistics and materials.Participate in professional development and reflection activitiesContribute ideas to improve student programming and engagementSupport the development of tools, resources, or systems for student successQualificationsExperience working with youth, ideally high school studentsFamiliarity with college/career readiness topics (e.g. FAFSA, Common App, Scholarship Support)Strong interpersonal and presentation skillsReliable transportation to travel to schoolsStrong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Passion for working with students and supporting their successStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeComfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)Bilingual is a plusWhat you will gainReal-world experience in college and career readiness programmingOpportunity to lead parts of sessions or initiativesExposure to nonprofit leadership and program designMentorship from COATES Inc. leadershipExperience that can translate into careers in education, counseling, or workforce developmentEducation* PNW work-study eligible studentFLSA StatusNon-ExemptApply nowPosting Start Date: 5/7/26
