Job Title: Infrastructure Solutions Architect 5Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)Duration: 12 MonthsWork Arrangement: Open to local and non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expenseJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect to provide architectural leadership and technical guidance for enterprise systems supporting mission-critical public services. This role is responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and data management strategies.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience supporting and administering RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) environments5+ years of experience with Windows Server in enterprise environments3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, including querying and database supportExperience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud), including hybrid architectures5+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation3+ years of network administration experience, including troubleshootingHands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (K8s) and/or OpenShiftExperience with architecture diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.ioFamiliarity with application servers like WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBossExperience designing scalable and redundant database systems (Oracle and/or SQL Server)Strong understanding of infrastructure and application security best practicesWorking knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, C#, Bash, or PowerShellExperience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Veracode)Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS modelsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and/or CloudFormationExperience administering web servers such as IIS, Apache, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)Familiarity with Cloudflare or similar platformsPreferred SkillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical decisionsExperience working in large-scale enterprise or government environmentsKnowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices
