You will drive the identification, assessment, analysis, and solving of a broad spectrum of safety issues across a diverse group of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts businesses.The Senior Safety Professional will report to a Safety Manager.What You Will DoOn any given day, as a Senior Safety Professional, you might:Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects simultaneouslyDrive the implementation of safety initiatives, performing job task analysis, analyzing injury and illness trend data, and finding opportunities to improve safety performanceLead and/or participate in incident investigations and follow-upsImprove performance, review source material (rules, codes, laws, and standards) identify and share industry practicesLead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while supporting standardized safety practices, performance monitoring, and continuous improvementEnsure implementation of applicable safety standards and established regulationsManage relationships and work as part of a team within a matrix environment with all levels of leadership and employeesEngage and collaborate with local partners to drive and ensure consistencyParticipate in industrial hygiene monitoring and ergonomic assessmentsDeploy analytics and trends to improve safetyRequired Qualifications & SkillsHere’s what you need to be successful at this job:5+ years of project management experience within occupational safety, risk management, or a related environmentKnowledge of relevant industry standardsExperience with strategic thinking, prioritization, and initiation of tasksExperience with proper writing, speaking, and presenting to all levelsResolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situationsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in the entertainment and/or manufacturing industriesAssociate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designationEducationBachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Health or related fieldPreferred EducationMaster’s Degree in related fieldThe hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $105,100-$140,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
