Medical Director of Heart Failure with Carilion Clinic – Roanoke, VA Carilion Clinic is searching for a Director of Heart Failure Services to lead the growth and expansion of Heart Failure services across our system of 7 hospitals and multiple outpatient clinics. The Director will lead a team of physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and staff in further development of an outstanding Heart Failure Program, primarily at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH), our 703 bed Level 1 Trauma/Academic/Tertiary Care Center, while also improving care across all clinical sites. Continue development of the current Heart Failure Clinic to improve access and extend the scope of services to identify patients at risk for mortality, hospital readmission, and other adverse events. Refine a comprehensive inpatient Heart Failure service, including consultative, diagnostic, and treatment services for high‑risk hospitalized patients. Evaluate patients for VAD support, including long‑term/destination therapy and bridging support to transplantation, coordinating care with neighboring transplantation centers. Provide formal and bedside teaching to Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents, and other learners, and participate in research as part of our Academic Mission. Board Certification in Cardiology. Board Certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation.
