Senior Accountant, Operations | Global Manufacturing

As an Operations Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting while supporting the month-end close process, perform variance analysis, and partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and finance teams to enhance financial visibility and accuracy across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with vendors and plant teams to address and correct discrepancies.Investigate and resolve payment issues in coordination with Procurement and suppliers.Prepare and present price variance analyses to support customer pass-through reporting.Complete monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, including rebates, tariffs, freight, and in transit.Manage vendor claims, support collections, and compile monthly reports for executive review.Review freight invoices, record accruals, and investigate discrepancies.Record receipts for outside processing activities.Maintain and update standard costs; contribute to ongoing cost accounting improvements.Reconcile utility invoices and provide analysis to plant teams.Support ad hoc projects and collaborate across the Operations Accounting function.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment.Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or a comparable ERP system.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and multi-sheet reconciliation models.Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
