Adecco is hiring for a Wire Slitter Operator in Collinsville, IL 2nd shift hoursJob SummaryThe Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the slitting line to cut metal coils into specific widths. You will ensure high-quality production while adhering to all safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Set-up: Configure slitting knives, spacers, and tension rolls according to work order specifications.Operation: Thread coils through the slitter, operate the machine at productive speeds, and ensure smooth processing.Quality Control: Check slit coils for gauge, width, burrs, and surface quality using micrometers and calipers.Material Handling: Load and unload master coils and finished product safely using overhead cranes or forklifts.Documentation: Accurately document production, including coil ID creation, footage, and scrap tracking.Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean work area (5S) and perform basic troubleshooting or preventive maintenance on equipment.Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
