Production Associate III 1st ShiftThe Production Associate III operates machines and production equipment independently in a manufacturing environment, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met safely. This role may also provide guidance and informal coaching to team members.Position details:Pay Rate: $25$30/hourSchedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM (1st Shift)Assignment Length: 3-month contractKey responsibilities:Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)Stop work and report any major safety hazards immediatelyReport all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazardsFollow all HSE policies, procedures, and regulationsUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentIdentify and correct hazards within your controlParticipate in HSE training and promote a team-oriented safety cultureUnderstand environmental impact and work to minimize itQualityFollow standard work instructions and quality procedures (SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards)Perform quality inspections to ensure product specifications are metIdentify and control non-conforming materialsEscalate issues to reduce quality risks and costsProduction & DeliveryOperate machinery and equipment to manufacture and assemble products to required specificationsMeet production goals and cycle time standardsMaintain clean and orderly work areas, including housekeeping and machine cleaningPerform basic operator maintenance tasksTroubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with support teamsRemain flexible and perform additional duties as needed to meet production goalsSupport and guide less experienced team members when neededTeamworkCommunicate effectively with team members and cross-functional support teamsCollaborate to improve safety, quality, processes, and efficiencyParticipate in training and continuous development activitiesQualifications & competencies:Strong accountability and reliabilityEffective communication skills across different audiencesAbility to address challenges and resolve issues proactivelyResults-driven and able to perform under pressureStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvementTeam-oriented with strong collaboration skillsAbility to manage complex tasks and make sound decisionsEducation & requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMay require compliance with export control or regulatory requirementsTop skills:Mechanical knowledge and hands-on aptitudeCreative problem-solving skillsStrong work ethicWelding experience (TIG & MIG)Machining experience (manual lathe and milling machines)CNC milling experience or willingness to learnRef: #193-Precision Oakridge
