Auto Technician / Mechanic

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic with at least two years prior experience to join our team. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. Duties: -The Automotive Technician/Mechanic position requires your experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability, mechanical, electrical and safety systems. - Keep accurate records of the required repairs and maintenance requirments and report your findings to the manager for communication with the customer. - Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine appropriate repair solutions - Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, batteries, shocks and struts - Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, transmission fluid changes, tire rotations, and vehicle safety inspections. -Tire changes, including mounting, balancing, tire repair and installation. - Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs - Perform inspections and road test vehicles to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and are ready for customer return. Requirements: - Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role with at least two years prior experience. - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems - Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment - Ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle makes and models - Familiarity with powertrain components and systems - Knowledge of automotive electrical systems is preferred - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues with the shop manager. -Must have a valid automobile driver’s license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles -A.S.E. Certification in at least one of A1-A8 is required. What we offer: -This is a full-time position with competitive pay. -This is an hourly position, NOT FLAT RATE. -Weekly hours are 8 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday Through Friday NO SATURDAYS, NO SUNDAYS, NO EVENINGS - One hour lunch per day, paid national holidays, paid sick/personal days, free uniform service, free wifi service, free water & coffee service. and a clean work environment. -Most shop tools provided.
