Schedule: Full-Time (36 Hours per Week)
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend Rotation: Every Third Weekend
On-Call: Yes
About the Role
MedOp Solutions is partnering with a healthcare facility in Carmel, Indiana to hire an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment.
This role supports an 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit where nurses provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, assist with deliveries, and circulate cesarean sections. The RN will play a critical role in coordinating care, monitoring maternal and fetal status, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Carmel
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate cesarean sections
Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and carry out physician orders
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition changes
Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Support patient education and discharge planning
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (state-specific or compact eligibility)
BLS certification required
NRP certification required
Minimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification preferred
Scheduling & Expectations
12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
36 hours per week
Every third weekend rotation
Rotating holiday requirements
On-call requirements as scheduled
