Manufacturing Team Member, Production (Night Shift)

OverviewThe Manufacturing Team Member supports a variety of duties including unloading, putting away, packing, staging and loading various food products at the Bay Center manufacturing facility in Valencia, California. This role will also operate some of the most sophisticated manufacturing machinery in the industry.As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time.Bay Center is establishing a state-of-the-art food processing production facility to create critical product components for an existing business, while also creating new B2B revenue streams.ResponsibilitiesSafely and properly operate HPP machinery and other sophisticated equipmentTroubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or productsSet up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating proceduresEnsure that product is promptly unloaded into the facility and prepared for processingProperly stage product and prepare for efficient loading proceduresMaintain food and environmental health safety standards throughout the facilityCorrectly enter data as requiredOther duties may be assigned from time to timeRequired Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)High School DiplomaComplete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 poundsReach, bend, and stoop while performing workWork with and handle cleaning chemicals as neededWork while standing for several hours at a timePrepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and rotating shiftsWear all appropriate clothing safety equipment as required for the task being performedAbility to work above shouldersAbility to work around a variety of different smells, aromas and different temperaturesManage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workloadCommunicate effectively across stakeholdersAdapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional mannerSelf-starter with excellent project management and organizational skillsHighly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet able to work independently when necessaryRoutinely shows interest / knowledge in and offers suggestions / solutions for continuous improvementAble to anticipate needs, lead multiple projects, and manage shifting prioritiesProficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking): to safely follow verbal instructions, complete documentation and paperwork, and accurately interpret labels, pick lists, scanner prompts, signage, and company communicationsPreferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)* Experience in food productionRequired Level of EducationHigh School Diploma
