3rd Shift Material Handler

Description: As a Material Handler at Permian Plastics, you will ensure that production machines are staged and supplied with material as needed, dryers are cleaned and filled for upcoming jobs, job changes are labeled and tagged, and grinding jobs are kept up. This is a fast-paced physical job where your goal is to assist supervisors in maximizing shift production and keep the warehouse clean and organized. Typical position growth path: Material Handler - Set Up Technician - Process Technician - Supervisor - Manager - Director Responsibilities: Use of moving equipment; forklift and pallet jacks to safely and efficiently move inventory around the warehouse Complete forms, reports, logs, and labels of material Assembly of containers and crates for production material Update job boards, and dryer list board, clean and organize the warehouse Requirements: Good attendance and reliability Ability to operate a forklift (sitting) and pallet jack (we can/will train you) Ability to use and operate a pallet jack Reading and basic math skills Ability to physically move or lift 25 - 55 pounds regularly Ability to climb, lift, stoop, bend, and stand for up to 4 hours at a time Ability to wear steel-toed shoes We’ve been in business since 1994.
