The Unity Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing HMI (Human Machine Interface) industrial applications using Unity Engine. Position Summary and Purpose: Handle tasks such as coding, testing, debugging, and problem-solving related to industrial automation interfaces and digital twin technology. The successful Unity Developer will have a strong understanding of 3D development and excellent programming skills in C#. Expertise in developing high-performance Windows applications using the Unity Engine, proficiency with the Unity GUI system, and the ability to integrate complex machine logic with precise 3D simulation is a must. You must have an excellent grasp of C# and the .NET framework, strong coding abilities, and be able to problem-solve daily. Essential Functions:Designing, implementing, and maintaining Unity HMI (Human Machine Interface) industrial applicationsTransforming design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging HMIExperience with Unity's Physics system (Rigidbodies, Joints), using physics queries, such as raycasting, and trigger events to implement precise 3D simulations.Proficiency in implementing and optimizing collision detection using various Colliders (Convex vs. Concave Mesh Colliders).Experience with optimization strategies like convex decomposition or compound colliders to support complex industrial process simulations.Testing to ensure the application is free of bugs and performing optimization to ensure it runs smoothlyBuilding and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable codeCollaborating with the design team to define, design, and ship new featuresIdentifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to address and mitigate these problemsEnsuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsCollaborating with other team members (such as animators, graphic designers, audio technicians) to maintain the visual and functional integrity of the HMIStaying updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies in Unity developmentParticipating in project meetings with other team members and team management Work Experience: Required Experience: 3 to 5 years Proven working experience as a Unity DeveloperExcellent knowledge of Unity, including experience with scripting, textures, animation, and GUI stylesFamiliarity with scene organization for real-time 3D (RT3D) workflows and industrial simulationsExperience optimizing memory and space usage for support of older hardwareUnderstanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable applicationAbility to constantly learn and stay updated with evolving technologies in the field of industrial simulation and real-time visualizationStrong understanding of object-oriented programmingProficient knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and MercurialPhysical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
