Production SupervisorYour role :As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day operations for packing, warehouse and loading department ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed Safety. To succeed, you must be able to :D eliver results in first-time situations by inspiring others and w orking to earn trust every dayS erve others with un derstanding, respect, and careO perate with simplicity, clarity an d transparencyD eal with and drive changeO rganize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlinesL earn and apply new technology, and share your knowledge with othersAbove all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient mannerYour responsibilities :Oversees and executes day-to-day operations for department ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safetyPartners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and proceduresMonitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications while providing recommendations for continuous improvementsP articipate and lead process improvement initiatives including Centerlining , Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely)Partners with local plant management to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, total cost of maintenance, monthly rev iew of compliance audits, etc.)Develops planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employeesTake counts, correct discrepancies, and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory count outside of variance range in the digital Vs physical countResponsible for wo rkforce engagement, recognition as well as development and coaching to hourly membersEssential skills and experience :Bachelor's degree or High school diploma/GED equivalent with 4 years of production experienceMinimum of 1 years ' experience having leadership responsibilities in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)Demonstrated understanding of safety hazards and protocolsUnderstanding of computerized maintenance management systemsGood to have :Knowledge of maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting packaging equipment and conveying systemsTraining in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processesReliability centered maintenance training around packaging equipment best practicesPhysical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasksAbility to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator or a harness )Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to work a machine - paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:H o t/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)Indoor/Outdoor environmentDusty environment (to include Wheat/Gluten allergens)Noisy environmentFrequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processesElevated PlacesAbility to perform work safely which may require:Frequently standing, walking, rotating, bending/stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reaching or lifting at varying heights and levelsFrequently climbing stairs and/or laddersOccasionally lifting, shoveling and/or carryingOccasionally pushing and/or pullingWorking in confined or elevated placesOther considerations:Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in EnglishMust be willing to work alongside your team including long days (days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekend s or holiday workMust be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the futureExcept where prohibited by law, all offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test and pre-employment background checkTeam members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.The preceding position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this position. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate's unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $74,600.00 - $99,444.40, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.
