Maintenance Technician

Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in a fiberglass production environment. We are looking for people with great attitudes and the willingness to learn.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment. Performs maintenance and repairs to all manufacturing and facility equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment. Start and run fire pump weekly for 30 minutes. Audit fire extinguishers. Interpret schematics and equipment manuals. Repairing building structures which may include minor construction projects. Maintains safe and clean working environment. Determine functionality of parts by inspection using test equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, mechanical and pneumatic components and systems. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS · Must have electrical experience. · Must have plumbing experience. Experience with welding a plus. Previous equipment repair and supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting. Ability to order parts and look up product information on computer. Ability to move up to 75 lbs. 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred. Must be dependable, reliable, and flexible. Must be able to work first shift, starting at 6:00am, as well as Saturdays as needed while production is down. Display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize. Must be able to lead by example, such as excellent attendance, leadership abilities, willingness to learn, and be a team player at all times.
