Senior Azure AI Platform EngineerLocation: Chicagoland or Dallas, TX – hybrid (3 days onsite)Salary: Up to ~$130KWe’re partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity–backed technology company undergoing a major cloud and AI transformation. They’re modernizing a legacy .NET platform into Azure and embedding AI capabilities directly into core business applications.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who has already built and shipped AI-enabled features in production and is excited to help scale that capability across an enterprise platform.What you’ll doBuild and integrate AI-powered capabilities into a .NET application stackDevelop backend services and APIs using C#/.NETDesign and implement cloud-native components and microservices in AzureIntegrate Azure AI / OpenAI (or similar cloud AI services) into real-world workflowsPartner with product and business teams to translate AI ideas into production-ready solutionsHelp establish patterns and best practices for scalable, secure AI adoptionPreferred Experience6+ years of software engineering experienceStrong hands-on experience with C# and .NETExperience building or integrating AI/ML solutions in production environmentsCloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable)Strong experience with REST APIs and modern backend architectureComfortable working in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite weekly)Nice to haveAzure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, etc.)Microservices architecture and application modernization experienceFrontend exposure (React, Angular, or similar)Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
