We're looking for a skilled Facilities Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, and values being part of a mission-driven organization.ScheduleTraining Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMRegular Schedule (after training): Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMRotating on-call responsibilities requiredPay$22.00 - $26.50 per hour, based on experienceWhat You'll DoThis role supports multiple buildings across our campus and includes a mix of preventative maintenance, repairs, and grounds work. No two days look exactly the same.Maintenance & RepairsPerform general building maintenance for nursing homes, child care centers, and retirement apartmentsTroubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting issuesReplace fixtures, outlets, lighting, pipes, windows, appliances, and building componentsAssist with fire drills, inspections, and safety checksMaintain and repair equipment, motors, sensors, and mechanical systemsGrounds & Campus SupportMaintain outdoor areas (mowing, trimming, weeding, general cleanup)Assist with moving furniture or room transitions as neededSupport construction or renovation projects when applicableTeam & Mission SupportRespond to work orders using a computerized maintenance systemWork independently while also supporting multiple buildings and departmentsInteract respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, children, and coworkersParticipate in emergency response situations, including weekends or holidays if neededWhat We're Looking ForRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least one year of experience in two or more of the following areas: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, HVAC, or paintingValid driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to work on-call and respond to emergenciesPreferred SkillsExperience with HVAC systems, boilers, fire systems, and building-wide mechanical equipmentComfort using power tools and hand toolsBasic computer skills and willingness to learn a work order systemStrong communication and problem-solving skillsThe Right Fit Will Be Someone Who...Is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in quality workApproaches work with flexibility, positivity, and initiativeDemonstrates compassion, patience, and professionalismValues teamwork, integrity, and service to othersSupports and lives out Martha & Mary's mission, values, and resident-centered cultureWhy Work With Us?Competitive pay based on experienceStable, full-time scheduleMeaningful work that directly supports those in our careA team-oriented, mission-driven environmentOpportunities to grow skills across multiple tradesBenefits & PerksAt Martha & Mary, we believe in taking care of the people who take care of others.
