Quality Engineer Project Scope / Components: Team works on Electronic Communications Gateway which is a managed transfer platform for UHG and its clients to exchange files They are completely rebuilding the platform from scratch – right now there are some products which a third party developed. Optum wants to remove these and replace with internal product This platform is huge and very widely used – up to 2 million files are transferred per day with 60k active configurations They are expecting this project to last up to 5 years Development Methodology: Agile, 2 week sprints Up to 10 members per team, nearly everyone is remote High-Level Individual Duties: Building an entirely new automation framework from scratch Write and execute tests for API, UI, Performance, and Load testing Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Java – this is where they’ve been struggling most in interviews. Need to have good Java skills Selenium – also open to other tools like Protractor and JMeter Any CI/CD tools – they use Jenkins Nice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
