Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTMoss Energy is seeking a skilled Commissioning Technician to support the startup and delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This role is responsible for executing commissioning activities across electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient project energization.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including inverters, and power distribution equipmentExecute NETA-based testing (Megger (insulation resistance), VOC Testing, VLF, TTR) to validate system performance and integritySupport system startup, energization, and troubleshooting of both AC and DC components on solar and BESS projectsInterpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams to verify installation and resolve field issuesCoordinate with construction, and SCADA teams to ensure proper system integration and communicationDocument commissioning activities, test results, and turnover packages in accordance with project and industry standardsMaintain strict adherence to safety protocols, electrical codes, and site requirementsImplement, control and execute energy isolation procedures (LOTO)Education And Work ExperienceExperience commissioning electrical systems in solar, BESS, or utility/industrial projectsStrong knowledge of electrical testing methods and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and control logicHands-on troubleshooting and field execution experienceWillingness to travel to project sites as neededJOB TITLE: COMMISSIONING TECHNICIANJOB LOCATION: MULTI-STATE REQUIRES HIGH TRAVELCLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – EXEMPT – SALARIEDREPORTS TO: COMMISSIONING DIRECTORMoss is an equal opportunity employer.
