You will drive the design and deployment of scalable, high-performance API-driven services and event-driven architectures while mentoring team members and partnering with product leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Delivery: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable APIs, microservices, and system integrations.Technical Quality: Drive lean development practices, code quality, TDD, and safe, frequent production deployments.Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor junior/intermediate engineers, partner with Engineering Managers on performance/hiring, and collaborate across teams to shape tech strategy.Risk & Performance: Proactively identify and resolve system performance and scalability bottlenecks.QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of software development experience with a heavy backend focus.Core Tech: Deep hands-on expertise in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Security), alongside proficiency in Python, Rust, or Go.Systems & Cloud: Strong background in microservices, distributed event-driven systems, relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP with Docker/Kubernetes).Methodologies: Proven experience with Lean Software Development, pair programming, TDD, Trunk-Based Development, and CI/CD.Key Differentiators: Experience with Knowledge Graphs, ML/AI Feature stores, or leveraging AI in software solutions.Interview ProcessPairing Exercise: 60–90 min video pairing session with a Principal Engineer.Manager Intro: 60 min interview with a Software Engineering Manager.Final Review: 30 min chat with a Senior Manager focusing on technical and cultural fit.
