Procurement Specialist
Family Health Care Clinic, Inc. is a non-profit organization that receives federal funds to provide primary health care services to the community regardless of their ability to pay.
The Procurement Specialist is an important part of the Finance Department. This position is responsible for managing the process of procurement requests. This includes:
receiving procurement requests
maintaining budgets by department and location
review requests and selects appropriate method of procurement
research competitive pricing
determine when a bidding process is required per federal regulations
submit requests for approval
place orders with vendors
track orders through delivery and invoicing
communicate with vendors and staff throughout procurement process
work with Director of Maintenance on requests that require installation or fixture modifications
Communicate verbally and in writing with management, co-workers, other organization employees, vendors, contractors, the general public and suppliers to establish and maintain effective working relationships
prepare procurement documents as required under organization policies
Review and modify, as needed, specifications, purchase orders, contracts, change orders and related documents
Assist the Finance Department with controlling costs and expenses throughout the process
