This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys client interaction, values mentorship and collaboration, and wants to build long‑term expertise in a thoughtful, well‑run estate planning firm. The position is primarily focused on estate planning, with a smaller portion of responsibilities supporting probate and trust administration matters. You will be expected to handle matters with increasing autonomy—owning client communication, drafting, and follow‑through—while receiving attorney support for strategy, complex issues, and final review.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Service and Representation·      Guide clients through estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters with care and empathy·      Conduct client meetings with clarity and reassurance·      Build trusted client relationshipsEstate Planning·      Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents·      Identify family dynamics, asset complexity, and planning goalsProbate & Trust Administration·      Manage probate filings and related documents·      Advise fiduciaries and communicate with courtsProactive Problem-Solving·      Anticipate issues and propose solutions·      Contribute to improving firm processesCommunication & Collaboration·      Communicate clearly with clients and staff·      Work collaboratively with assistants and paralegalsProfessional Growth·      Stay current on Ohio law and best practices·      Pursue continued learning and improvementWhat Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)·      Independently manage core estate planning matters from intake through draft preparation, with attorney review as needed·      Draft common estate planning document sets (including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives) with minimal revisions·      Own defined probate and/or trust administration tasks (e.g., preparing filings, inventories, and distribution documentation) with supervision·      Maintain clear, timely client communication and collaborate effectively with assistant/paralegal.·      Demonstrate reliable deadline tracking and proactive issue-spottingQualificationsRequired·      J.D. from an accredited law school·      Active Ohio law license in good standing (or ability to obtain licensure promptly)·      2–5 years of relevant experience in estate planning, probate, and/or trust administration·      Strong drafting, communication, and client-service skillsPreferred·      Comfort managing matters with appropriate supervision and escalating issues as needed·      Familiarity with Clio, Lawmatics and/or WealthCounselCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary·      $80,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experienceBonus Opportunities·      Performance‑based bonuses focused on quality, initiative, and teamworkBenefits·      Paid time off and holidays·      CLE and professional development support·      Mentorship and trainingLong‑Term Growth·      Opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation·      Potential future leadership or expanded role discussions
