Analyst/Developer - General 3

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Analyst/Developer - General 3. The work will be done in a hybrid setting in Chicago, Illinois, Peoria, Illinois, or Irving, Texas (2 days onsite per week). This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $69.00/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).Job SummaryWe are seeking an Analyst/Developer to support the stability and production operations of AWS cloud-based services. This role is responsible for incident management, production support, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across customer-facing cloud platforms. The ideal candidate has experience supporting enterprise AWS environments, managing production incidents, developing operational runbooks, and collaborating across engineering and product teams to ensure platform reliability and service excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn production incident tickets from initial triage through resolution and closure.Collaborate with engineering, platform, product, and operations teams to diagnose issues and coordinate technical resolutions.Communicate incident status, impact, and resolution progress to business and technical stakeholders.Lead or participate in root cause analysis and drive long-term corrective actions.Monitor AWS cloud services to ensure platform reliability, security, and operational readiness.Respond to production incidents affecting AWS services and APIs, including participation in an on-call rotation.Drive continuous improvements in platform stability, monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.Develop, maintain, and improve operational runbooks and technical documentation.Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure support teams are prepared to manage production environments effectively.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred but not required.2–4 years of relevant experience (hard requirement).Experience supporting production-grade, customer-facing platforms within enterprise environments.Strong AWS knowledge, including Kinesis, Fargate, Lambda, and cloud-hosted APIs.Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, user stories, features) and ServiceNow for incident management.Proven experience managing production incidents, root cause analysis, and operational readiness.Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and enterprise ITSM frameworks.Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to drive incidents through resolution.Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.Experience supporting AWS-hosted APIs and cloud-native services.Experience working in cross-functional enterprise environments with engineering, product, and platform teams.Experience improving support models, workflows, and operational documentation.Background supporting large-scale production environments with high availability requirements.Why This Role?This opportunity offers the chance to play a critical role in supporting Caterpillar's enterprise cloud platforms by ensuring production stability, improving operational readiness, and driving continuous service improvements.
