Role Description
EBE Technologies is seeking an on-site DOT Auditor to review Driver Qualification (DQ) files and vehicle maintenance records for our managed services division.
Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience and be familiar with auditing existing DQFM for compliance under 49 CFR 391.51, as well as other federal DOT regulations and applicable Canadian requirements.
Strong understanding of federal regulations is required, particularly 49 CFR Parts 40, 382, 390, 391, 395, and 396.
Attention to detail is essential.
This position requires a strong customer service mindset and the ability to communicate clearly in a client‑facing environment.
Responsibilities
Review Driver Qualification (DQ) files for FMCSA compliance
Audit vehicle maintenance records and supporting documentation
Identify missing, incomplete, or non‑compliant records
Communicate audit exceptions to clients
Support resolution of compliance issues within customer files
Apply federal DOT regulations to real‑world compliance scenarios
Maintain accurate audit documentation and records
Work within managed services workflows across multiple clients
Ensure accuracy and consistency across high‑volume document review
Qualifications
3+ years of DOT auditing or transportation compliance experience
Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, including:
49 CFR Part 40
49 CFR Part 382
49 CFR Part 390
49 CFR Part 391
49 CFR Part 395
49 CFR Part 396
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them consistently
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
Work within structured compliance workflows and customer systems
Balance audit review work with real‑time customer issue resolution
Operate independently while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Maintain focus on regulatory detail across high‑volume work
