Project Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our client and support key construction project initiatives from start to finish. This onsite, direct-hire position based in Cincinnati, OH, plays a vital role in supporting construction and engineering teams by coordinating technical activities, managing documentation, and driving continuous improvement in project execution. Compensation $50,000–$90,000/year (based on experience) Work Schedule Monday through Friday, normal business hours Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer Manage and maintain accurate project documentation and control systems Lead and track RFIs, submittals, and engineering/design reviews Support cost and schedule management to ensure budget and timeline adherence Collaborate with subcontractors to develop scopes of work and oversee onboarding Prepare quality and safety plans for project execution Ensure high-quality materials are specified and represented in drawings Perform material takeoffs and procurement tracking Coordinate with site personnel on construction methods and logistics Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project alignment Analyze performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities Drive continuous improvement in project processes and documentation Generate and present project status updates to leadership Conduct compliance audits throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications and Skills for the Project Engineer 1–3 years of experience in construction management or a related field Solid understanding of construction coordination and project workflows Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Procore) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to quality execution Experience managing project risk and implementing preventative strategies Why Join Us?
