Production Worker This role will assist in the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include keeping the production area clean, preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following health and safety guidelines.To be successful as a production worker you should be able to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy. An outstanding production worker should be able to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.Some responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Following health and safety standards.Assembling products and parts.Following production guidelines and specifications.Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products.Working on the production line and meeting production targets.Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.Performing other tasks as assigned.Operating heavy machinery and equipment such as flash welders, sprayers, blasters, coating burnoff equipment, grinding, etc.Coordinating work with flash welders and repair welders.Training new operator on machines.Use of equipment and tools such as hand air chipping hammer, hand air grinder, manual bevel mill, air vice, hoist hammer, wrenches tow motor, hand cart, nut runner, stapler, strapping tools, stamping machine, tester, hammer, taps, and various gages.Perform various related duties such as gage parts, retrieve cardboard and make cartons, bag small component parts as required.Must have knowledge of quality standards and bill of materials.Keep a clean and orderly work area.Must ensure proper components are assembled properly.Must determine visual quality of the parts.Operating chipping hammer in the approved manner, working towards the shielded area whenever possible.Ability to comply with all safety and ISO requirements.Qualifications / RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED.Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.Ability to read process sheets.Required to plan a sequence of jobs.Completes all paperwork to maintain production and inventory records.Maintains a clean and safety work area. Has knowledge of safety equipment and uses all safety equipment and procedures in conjunction with job duties.Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial.Experience operating manufacturing machinery.Able to work as part of a team.Basic math skills.Physical dexterity.Available for shift work.
