Join Our Board of Directors Method Child Development Center (MCDC) Shape the Future of Early Childhood Education in Our Community Method Child Development Center seeks passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. We especially welcome candidates with expertise in fundraising, project management, finance, grant writing, human resources, marketing, and childcare management, though all backgrounds and experiences will be considered. About Us MCDC supports a diverse community of families by nurturing each child's social, educational, and emotional needs within a safe, affordable environment. As a nonprofit childcare center, we believe in celebrating diversity and working together to enrich children's lives with strong values and skills for their future. What We're Looking For We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who bring one or more of the following: Passion for early childhood education and community service Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Professional experience in any field, with particular interest in: Fundraising and grant writing Project management Financial management/accounting Childcare or education administration Nonprofit leadership Community relations and partnerships Human Resources Key Responsibilities Provide strategic governance and mission-based leadership Serve as an organizational ambassador Participate and attend in MCDC events to engage staff and parents Participate in quarterly board meetings (in-person and virtual) Inspire fundraising & community projects Seek Community Partnerships Serve on committees aligned with your expertise (virtual meetings) Support the center's Director in achieving strategic goals Review and approve annual budgets and key business decisions Term and Commitment 3-year term with possibility of one additional term Quarterly board meetings Committee participation as needed Voluntary position with support for qualifying expenses Ideal Candidates Will Gain Leadership experience in any sector Understanding of early childhood education and family needs Relationship-building and consensus-building skills Commitment to improving children's lives Knowledge in nonprofit governance How to Apply Interested candidates should submit: Resume or professional biography Brief statement of interest highlighting: Why you want to serve on MCDC's board Specific skills you would bring to the organization Your vision for contributing to our mission Submit applications to: MCDC is committed to building a diverse board that reflects our community.
