Purchasing Manager
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for buying the best quality of products, goods and services at the most competitive prices. The position will oversee all areas of purchasing and procurement to provide the necessary tools for the plant to function at maximum efficiency and with maximum revenue. Lead an organization of purchasing officers to coordinate the purchasing of necessary parts, supplies, and goods and services to meet the needs of the organization.This onsite position operates from the Louisville Manufacturing Operation.Key ResponsibilitiesActs as the office of primary responsibility for the purchase of wallcovering, Walltakers, and digital parts, supplies, materials, and services necessary for business operations; review vendor pricing and current vendor sourcing informationOversees and ensures accurate ordering of parts, supplies, materials, and services made by the purchasing officers in the departmentLead and manage team members, including training, development, performance evaluations, scheduling, and oversight of daily work; provide coaching, support continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to policies and proceduresNegotiate and review contacts with preferred suppliers to ensure conformance with company policy and expectationsConduct research and ascertain the best products from suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedule and qualityCoordinate and track vendor returns and defective claims for all products to ensure credits are receivedForecast price trends and their impact on future activitiesDevelop and maintain organizations purchasing strategyMeasure and report supplier performance on a monthly basisProvides guidance for development and review of MRP and its associated production scheduleSupport the process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.Strong collaboration with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Management to meet business goalsInterface with the Logistics team to help ensure on-time deliverySkills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree is requiredStrong department leader with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experienceFive (5) years of experience purchasing or supply chainExperience with Japanese Sarbanes- Oxley regulations and internal controlsExperience in managing purchasing and procurement activitiesWorking knowledge of MRP, must be able to develop and maintain an environment where it can be successfully employedMust be a team player and value employee development / mentoring on the jobStrong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills are necessaryStrong problem solving and analysis skillsAbility to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple prioritiesProficient in MS office applicationsChange agent for process development and implementationMust be able to sit for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 20 lbs safelyOther duties as assignedKoroseal Total RewardsVacation time, personal time, and 11 paid holidays Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance including a Flexible Savings AccountCompany paid Short Term Disability & Life Insurance with supplemental options available for employees401(k) with company match Paid training and career development Employee well-being benefits including robust EAP offering Company events
